Our History
Christy Samms started a private practice in 2015 with a single office in the Summit office park on Oak Point Road across from Target. She launched with a single office and a decade’s worth of experience. Her husband, Daniel being a marketer by trade and a pastor by profession helped get the word out and the practice quickly grew.
Not wanting to lose time with the family while still desiring to provide care, Christy began structuring for growth and adding staff that aligned with her mission. She changed the name of her practice to “Hope Counseling and Consultation Services” to reflect both the vision to bring hope to clients in the region as well as the expanding scope of services.
The practice grew quickly through referrals and notoriety. We’ve added more space (and more counselors) as we look to an exciting future with an even wider scope of care. Providing professional, clinical counseling from a Christian worldview, Hope Counseling and Consultation Services is here to serve Lorain County and beyond.
